Say Hello! to Chris Hackett — Therapy Recruiter
Nice to Meet You!I have been in the recruiting industry for a combined 8 years. I Joined our schools team to help expand the reach and gain additional footholds in Special Education Departments all across the country. My recruiting knowledge, in combination with my experience in various industries, allows me to bring a different perspective and outlook to the table. Having constant contact with my therapists allows me to live vicariously through them, and I feel like, I too am along for the adventure. I love what I do, and the people I work with, I can’t imagine a more suitable job for myself if I tried.
Fun FactMy love of the outdoors came to me at an early age. I was lucky enough to be able to go to summer camp in Vermont when I was about 8 years old. I was able to do things like; rock climbing, kayaking, Spelunking etc. This sparked a love for the outdoors that still exists today. Being able to live in Colorado, helps me to sustain that very same lifestyle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer reimbursement for the cost of licensure in a new state?
Yes, Advanced Medical offers state licensure reimbursement.
Should I work with multiple companies when trying to find a travel therapy assignment?
You are free to do as you please but your recruiter will explain to you that working with multiple agencies can potentially prohibit you from landing that perfect placement. If a client receives your profile from many agencies, they don’t have the time to go back to each agency and you to ask which company you prefer to work through. They will simply move on to the next candidate and you might not ever know if you would have been in the running for that particular job. Interview recruiters and agencies prior to submitting to any jobs. Pick one and go with it. We hope it will be Advanced! And make sure anyone who has your resume ALWAYS asks your permission to share it with anyone. That’s our policy here at AMPS.
Am I obligated to travel with Advanced if I fill out an application?
Can new grads travel?
Of course! Especially with Advanced. We paved the way for “new grad travel” with our ever growing University Program that offers layers of support to new grads wanting to travel right out of school. With this program, you will receive a clinical mentor, unlimited access to online CEU’s, tuition reimbursement, and our recruiters will make sure that first placement is “new grad friendly”. This means that there will likely be another person of your discipline on staff. We rarely, if ever, have new grads say “I wished I had waited to travel”. But we have a lot of experienced travelers say “I wished I had done this sooner, or right out of school”.
Is Advanced certified by the Joint Commission?
Yes, Advanced is certified by the Joint Commission
Why is working with Advanced so much better than with other therapy job agencies?
Working with Advanced is better than working with other therapy job agencies because we have the ability and structure to market for individual needs. What does that mean? If you are a PT and you want HI, we will seek out opportunities for PT’s in HI instead of waiting for them to surface. However, our experienced recruiters will be truthful about the “odds” of this type of placement happening at any given point in your travel career and advise you appropriately. Did I mention we have the best recruiters around?
