Meet our New Director of Teletherapy: Jennifer Martin

Meet our New Director of Teletherapy: Jennifer Martin

Jennifer Martin came to Advanced in April, 2018 and made an immediate impact.  As an accomplished Speech Language Pathologist with 16 years of experience, Jennifer has brought immense credibility to multiple projects.  Stemming from the success of these endeavors we are thrilled to announce the promotion of Jennifer Martin to Director of Teletherapy.

Teletherapy has emerged quickly at Advanced with Jennifer spearheading the efforts to educate districts on how they can utilize this practice to customize therapy needs, support on-site therapists, and bring relief to staffing shortages. In addition, Jennifer is adept at showcasing our teletherapy platform with comprehensive demonstrations and doing live teletherapy sessions for quite a few of our valued schools. She has quickly proven herself as a versatile companion for school districts in need. Jennifer will also take on a bigger role in recruiting and training tele therapists as our rapid growth demands.

I am excited and honored to take on this new role, especially because I get to work with an incredible group of people at Advanced. Having seen the positive outcomes that teletherapy has made in supporting underserved districts, and in turn their students, is what inspires me to do this work. – Jennifer Martin MS, CCC-SLP

Jennifer has also teamed up with Melissa Jones -our Clinical Director and Head of the New Graduate Department – to bring pioneering clinical fellowship to Advanced.  With virtual supervision quickly becoming an acceptable option for graduating speech language pathologists, this formidable duo has developed a well-respected platform for clinical fellowship that is designed by therapists for therapists. Jennifer is also playing a big role in the development of Televate, our new teletherapy platform that is debuting soon.

Jennifer feels that she is fortunate to work in a profession where she can do what she loves in multiple settings – hospitals, schools, home, and now virtually. One of her greatest joys has been her work with Spanish-speaking families.  These teaching experiences proved both inspiring and enlightening. It is no surprise that Jennifer has an active family that loves the outdoors and being involved within their community and schools.  Fittingly, she also has a love of adventurous travel and we can’t wait to see where her path goes next.
